Between February and April 2019, as the fundraising process continued and the establishment of the Aid Live Foundation as a non-profit organization began, a team of experts in social development conducted an exhaustive investigation into the most urgent needs of the population migrant.
The process included the analysis of data from reports and investigations carried out by international organizations and by NGOs working in the most vulnerable localities in Venezuela and in the care of Venezuelan migrants in Colombia; added to a process of participant observation and Participatory Action Research in the most affected regions. The localities selected for the development of the programs in Venezuela were those that presented a higher rate of malnutrition and vulnerability of the population.
While in Colombia priority is given to the development of programs in the border areas and departments with the greatest vulnerability of the migrant population. This process resulted in the identification of the most serious care needs, these being: nutrition and health for children and youth, access to clean water, access to health services with an emphasis on sexual and reproductive health, and integration of the migrant population In Colombia
